There are three power problems associated with most labs: 1) voltage spikes & lightning, 2) brown outs (low power or voltage), and 3) complete power failure. In order for complete protection, all three must be addressed. Lightning of course happen naturally. Spikes come courtesy of the power company, plant electricians who don't bother notifying the lab, and cars that don't warn anyone before they plow into power poles. Brown outs happen when too much power is used in the neighborhood (or building) without sufficient supply. Complete power failures occur out of the blue when circuit breakers fail and for the same reasons as spikes. See our products page for voltage spike & brown out protectors.
