Early HP and Agilent 5973A GC/MS systems came with the HPIB interface protocol. Now, newer '73s and '75s are equipped with the "LAN" protocol. At one time, Agilent sold the Lan Upgrade Kit as a separate item, but now no longer offers this particular solution. If you want to "upgrade" to the newest software from Agilent, the ONLY product you can buy is the "High Performance" upgrade kit, starting at around $14,000.

KIT # One:5973 "Bare Bones" Lan Kit at around $6000. This upgrade is available only at CSS Analytical - you can't get this upgrade from Agilent. Just the basics - Lan kit for the 5973, Lan kit for the 6890, Hub, Cables and complete instructions. You supply the Chemstation software and new Windows XP PC.
Kit # Two:
5973 "Keep it HPIB" kit. Less expensive, but gives you newer software and Microsoft Windows XP Pro. New HPIB board, plus complete instructions. You supply the Chemstation software and a new Windows XP PC.
